Audi A3 Sline central locking / radio

Bought an audi a3 sline, when I'm driving the stereo cuts out and comes back on and locking lock and unlocks. What could it be, anything major?

First thing is get a dealer or your local garage to see if theres any fault codes logged on the ECU. The locking would lead me to think it might be the comfort/convenience module ECU which sits under the drivers seat.

Audis can also show bizarre random faults when the battery is dying, how old is the car?
