Holding (phone charging) bales in place around the cabin?
Discussion
Sorry. Not sure what phrases to Google, or what terminology to use, and hoping someone can put me out of my misery.
I'm looking to run a cable up the side of the central console in my leased car, so I can charge my phone while it's in its dock. I mention that it's leased because I don't want to use anything that I can't remove perfectly once the lease is up.
I'd like to hold the cables in place along a small valley created by the joint between the side of the plastic console, and the carpet-like material the rest of the footwell is covered in.
Can anyone recommend any sort of inoffensive clip or other means of holding this cable in place?
Thanks a lot for any help.

I've used a few of these in the past, work well. Just needs a little solvent to clean up the glue residue, but comes straight off.

I'll second this. Use them for dash cam cables sometimes as well. https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/100-Pieces-Adhesive-Cab...
If you can part the join between the carpet and plastic, get small cable ties. Attach at locations to suit on the cable and pull just tight enough to grip but not compress the cable.
Then prise the join open, stick the ‘tail’ of the tie into the gap, let go and should be gripped by the join.

This is sort of what I was wondering - whether there was something like the holders Krikkit and ninjag mentioned, but with some sort of "anchor" I could tuck into that join. Hadn't thought of plain cable ties used the way you describe... Might give that a try first. Then prise the join open, stick the ‘tail’ of the tie into the gap, let go and should be gripped by the join.
Thanks a lot all.
