Kenwood Touch Screen Head unit

I have a Kenwood DDX5016DAB. I've had this for a couple of years now in my previous car and used it solely for the DAB radio and the odd CD.

I've now changed to a car with fewer toys and i've been looking to make use of more of the options this headunit has. One of which is the add on Sat Nav.

I cannot find the original paperwork but looking on the Kenwood website there is mention of being able to use an add on garmin unit but I can't seem to find anything out about this. Does anyone know what extra equipment is needed? And how it works (as in will it play the radio and then mute for directions like factor car sat nav systems do?)

Also Kenwood do a reversing camera extension. Does anyone know if I have to use this specific camera or if the Kenwood will accept any other brands?
