I'm going to fit a DAB radio to the wife's E46 over Xmas.

But after reading loads of post in various places I'm still unsure about the DAB aerial part.

I don't want to run a screen aerial really so. Some advice.

Headunit comes with a DAB aerial, so will fit this but wheres the best route?

I could replace the current aerial with a DAB one? (Loads of trim removal)

I have seen people use FM splitter, are they any good help with signal?

Thoughts and advice welcome.

I use an aerial splitter in my van for my dab motion. The standard ford aerial gives a better signal then the previous stick on one supplied with the unit.

My experience so far has been positive.
Bought the splitter from eBay. A 'connects2' brand.

I put a splitter into the OHs R171 Merc SLK - I didn't want to horrible stick on thing.

It works very well - help I guess by the fact that it has a proper aerial.

They need a power supply, however any DAB radio should have an antenna power cable.

Thanks for that both.

The wife's car has a proper aerial so hopefully will be all good with the addition of a splitter
