Jaguar S-Type Audio Upgrade
Discussion
Hi all.
Few questions please:-
I have a 2003 3.0 V6 Auto (Love it!)
It has the pre facelift centre dash console, no touch screen, audio controls on Steering wheel, 6 CD in the boot, cassette on console.
Can I upgrade this to a Touch Screen system please? (Without major surgery)
Has anyone else know anything about the JagDroid system is it any good and I’m having problems finding a price for it. Any ideas please?

TIA.
Jon

As has been said, don't bother upgrading to the 15 year old Jaguar touchscreen unit - it wasn't great when it was new!
Have a look on the Connects2 website and find the facia adapter and steering wheel control adapter for the S-Type, then find a double DIN head unit with all the features you want.

The main reason for adapting the Jaguar system is that the ' headunit ' is not just a head unit.
If fitted bluetooth phone runs through it, also the climate control runs through it.
Removing this will cause you alot more problems. Heated seats wont work.
I also have voice command in mine.
OP, ive been looking at the ben willcox website, ive messaged him about a complete kit, but he hasnt replied.
I can solder, and strip head units etc, but it does look quite involved.
Let me know if you take the leap.

The OP said that he doesn't have the factory touchscreen, therefore the HVAC and heated seat controls are on a separate panel making upgrading the stereo easier. If fitted bluetooth phone runs through it, also the climate control runs through it.

I had an S-Type with the factory touchscreen where a stereo upgrade was a real ball ache due to the HVAC controls, etc. so to me wasn't worth the effort. I installed a Parrot MKi9100 for hands free telephone and Bluetooth music streaming - it worked very well. I removed the ashtray, made a little bracket up and hid the screen behind the panel.
