Solar Charger Software Help. SOC vs Voltage Comp.

I have my 40 watt panel. I understand most of the software. There are settings for things such as cut off voltage, over charge protection and, float voltage.
I have set float to 13 volts.

However, I am trying to get my head around some of the other settings. I can set the charging to voltage compensation or state of charge.
I am trying to understand the difference between the two.
There is nothing running off the car when it is off bar the tracker - around a 300 ma draw and usual drain over time for radio settings.

Any suggestions/support welcome.

Voltage compensation may be temperature related adjustments to charging and float voltages.
