Electric window

So I drive a 1.4 tsi scirocco and for soem
Reason the electric window on the driver side has gone a little tits up.

Opened the window and there was a one off strange clonk noise and now for some reason when I do the window all the way up it gets to the top and automatically goes back down to about half way no
Idea why?

Does this when the car is on and off

This car has frameless windows

Any suggestions?

I can still use the window to
Go up and down so it’s not the motor

sounds like you need to reset the Window ECU.

note - I don't have a VW, but an older car which has suffered similar.
for me - unplug battery and leave for 10 mins, then plug back in.
note - you may need the radio code to reuse the radio etc.
