Autowatch Ghost or Tracker?
Discussion
I've got an F10 M5, which has a tracker installed, however, the subscription is due to run out in a couple of weeks, so I thought I'd explore other options.
I like the look of the ghost, it seems as good a solution as you can get within reason.
My question for all you experts, enthusiasts, car lovers and passers-by, should I get a ghost or continue with the tracker?
Thanks

I see alot of people recommending Ghost, seems fantastic, my concern having 3 small children in my house is that if they come in, take my keys, cant start the car that they would come back in and wake me or worse still my family to put the code in,
Tracker would get my vote.
That would worry me as well, however unrealistic it might be, it does happen.Tracker would get my vote.
When I looked into these my local installer advised it will not be thatcham approved as it is not a physical immobiliser. It immobilises the vehicle but not in the traditional ways used/required for approval. Not sure if this is the case but just what I was told.
Still seems a good concept mind.

I think the problem is that deliberately or to a degree little is known about it.
Additionally I think part of the problem is warranties etc.
I equally think some of the issues highlighted above are an issue, I think if you want to go down this road a Clifford Blackjax works out better as rightly (or wrongly) it does allow the scum a distance to "get away" before it demands the pin and stops the vehicle.

Thanks, that's interesting, and could help with the issues of the scum getting your key and then coming in for the code, at least if they get away, you can be prepared for them coming back ;-)Additionally I think part of the problem is warranties etc.
