Bluetooth - how many devices can I connect at once?
Discussion
Hi all,
This is a speculative question, because I am feeling lazy. Our old camper van has a Bluetooth stereo fitted which I often stream music through. The sound up front is okay, but kids cannot hear in the rear. (no speakers)
Is it possible to connect my phone (a 2018 Nokia) to the stereo and a portable Bluetooth speaker in the rear??
We are going camping in a week or so and I don't have the time to fit and route rear speakers. (it needs an oil change and tune up which will take my time!)
TIA
Mike

In my experience a phone will only connect to one sound device at a time and you make the selection in the player app. This is a speculative question, because I am feeling lazy. I doubt your BT stereo is capable of connecting to speakers since it is a sound-paying device itself. But if it has RCA outs you could use a bluetooth transmitter, but you may get delays between to two sets of speakers due to the encoding & decoding of the audio.
