Hi everyone,

I wondered if anyone had any recommendations for a GPS unit which lets you set a max speed for your vehicle.
I have an old Defender, and it doesn't really do much over about 65 on the motorway, so I'm finding GPS journey estimates more than optimistic!

I'm currently using Waze on my phone but I'd like to be able to set a speed that the vehicle can comfortably do, and it doesn't support that. Unless I've missed it.

Thanks all!

I'm sure I recall seeing that feature on early Garmin devices, but it's not something I've come across recently.

Google maps ETA updates in real time based on your actual speed and traffic.

Copilot allows you to set a vehicle profile, in which you can set the average speeds for each road type.

My old TomTom One First Edition allows this. I use it when towing a trailer and set the maximum in order to get a realistic ETA
