The Ghost system is a discreet, well tested tool that adds security to a modern vehicle in a modern way.

Having fitted around 14 so far I’m getting enquiries as well as interest in the product once introduced to people who were previously unaware it existed.

It’s simple for the end user to operate and gives the added peace of mind for those whose cars are the sort that regularly appear on the missing list. Have you got any specific questions about the product?

Real world experiences would be good, any issues etc

I looks like a great bit of kit on demo videos but wondering what’s it like to live with. Anyone using the Bluetooth bit of it?

Wouldn't advise using the Bluetooth app, personally. Without giving too much away, the AW Ghost has it's own Bluetooth circumference (won't state exact numbers for security reasons). With Apple just recently making the range of Bluetooth even bigger on the iPhones, the point at which these circles intersect is the point at which a AW Ghost can be de-immobilised.

If Installed properly, no issues will ever arise from this system.

Stick with the pin code entry. Not only are we a significant installer for these in Scotland, we have them personally installed on our own vehicles. It will catch you out for the first month, but after this, it becomes normal practise to jump in your car and hit your sequence of buttons. In some cars, such as your F series of BMW's (Automatic only), you can even start your car in the morning (without a PIN), leave it running to warm up & defrost, and then prior to driving off, pop in your PIN. If you move the gear selector out of 'Park', the vehicle cuts out if no PIN is entered. Additionally, the benefits of a CAN based alarm is you can configure settings such as last Stop/Start setting, meaning if you turned it off, the next time you start your vehicle, the Stop/Start will remain off, instead of defaulting to on. In Ford's, you can auto lock the doors above 6mph, in Audi's one button sunroof close etc is all available. Some customers alone will purchase a Ghost just for some of these features.

Thanks, Jay

I’ve heard good things about these ghost systems but that just makes them sound even better!! The idea of having your own sequence of button presses to enable you to start the cat is great in itself! Only way someone could know it is if you tell them!

The AW Ghost immobiliser can’t be fitted to every vehicle. Aston Martins as a whole are not currently compatiable with the Ghost product.

For a full list of what vehicles are compatiable, please visit the Autowatch website.
