Hi all,

Wondered if I could get some advice please.

I have a 2014 Z4 with nearly every option apart from the sound system.

So I have the dire 6 speaker setup, 6.5” woofers in the footwells, 4” speakers in the doors and 4” speakers just behind the seats.

I’ve upgraded the door speakers to ones from a mini and added tweeters which made a really nice improvement.

I’m now wanting more but the quotes I have range from £1400 to £1600 and that’s just 6.5” woofers, 4” door speakers, tweeters and an amp.

I’m sure that kit is worth it (Gladen / Audison kit) but I’m not wanting to spend quite that much. Problem is these places don’t seem interested in going “middle of the road”.

I can also source some of the products so much cheaper but then they’re not interested in fitting - fair enough but I’m not sure where to go now!

In my opinion, £100 on 6.5” woofers, £150 on some 4” components, £150 on an amp, £300 for fitting???? I had £800 max in my head for an amp’d System.

Can anyone recommend a company to talk to? Has anyone else experienced this?

You could check if BMW ever sold an upgraded amp.

I took a guess at your model here.

I bought the Alpine kit for my E92 and it vastly improved the sound, I had the BMW basic sound system. Makes a difference now the speakers actually being driven.
