Looking for a thatcam approved tracker/immobiliser which would be capable of the following:

- Not visible when entering the vehicle
- Resistant to GPS jammers
- Either immobilises automatically some distance from point of theft or has option to immobilise the vehicle

I'm sure that there must be technology where it can send a phone call when car is started if set into a certain mode; Such that it could be set when I go to bed to ring me if the car starts, but would not phone me every time i start the car myself. That way I wouldn't be getting a call after a late shift when driving back from work etc. (Also, a text message might not wake me up).

Basically I want something pretty bullet proof but inconspicuous so there would be no worries about handing over the keys in my family home as the vehicle could be immobilised in about 5 minutes time so that a second confrontation would be unlikely. I/ police would then be able to go and pickup the car.

I know theres the clifford blackjax but am under the impression that it is not a tracker and the idea of having it on display plus requiring a code each time the door opens is not ideal.

Thanks smile

I have a trackit 24/7 https://trackit247.com/

you can turn stuff off via your phone or PC,

so a secret immobiliser is easy, mine sounds air horns that are not easy to get to, as well as immobiliser.

Thanks. Is that one GPS based? Are you saying it has an immobiliser fitted or that you have a second product for that?

If some one steals my car and I pick it up 15 minutes down the road after immobilising it, I personally wouldn't be too worried about what could have happened to the car. What would your main concerns be?

Ok
First issue Thatcham rated products can only immobilize before a journey starts or at the end on the cycle of ignition
The reality is they will not immobilize at will very strict guidelines to meet criteria
So what you require is an asset tracker with immobilization option this puts you in complete control
Also insurance product tend to combine Ariel's so not ideal for jamming prevention
I can recommend a company called Asset Monitoring Solutions speak to Johnathan
They recommend myself for this type of install I know exactly what your after
cheers broncoupe

Well, I use a DB1 myself but I checked and https://www.rewiresecurity.co.uk/db1-lite-compact-... would be better suited for your needs. It has signal jamming detection and it can be hardwired to the battery and hidden out of sight. DB1, on the other hand, offers the remote engine block feature you asked for.

Both of these devices are armed with various alerts and sensors such as tow alarm, motion sensor, tamper alert and ignition status that will send instant smartphone notifications in case a preset event occurs.

With the multiple sensors and alarms in place, you will always know if someone tries to break into your vehicle. If someone does manage to steal it, you can immobilize the vehicle remotely and have the police recover it safe and sound.
I am very pleased with my tracking device and I strongly recommend their vehicle trackers and services to you as well.

Wow, some thread resurrection there!!

Its called a Category 5 tracker.... Navtrack ADR 5 (these are fitted to a lot of the new super/hyper cars plus people who just want super security on their vehicles)

It is an upfront cost and subscription though as it is a proacitve tracker, not a reactive tracker.

Very simple - you are after a Pandora Solution. Have a google to ensure it meets your needs before contacting them, but I think you will find this is probably exactly what you are after.
