I'm guessing this is some sort of tracker?

In a car I recently purchased. No paperwork and the label on the control unit that might have provided some info is covered with double-sided foam.

I plan to disconnect it and remove it as it's of no use to me. Any ideas what make it is?

Contact seller see if he will give you the info you need so you can operate it. Might of grabbed yourself a nice tracker which will probably lower insurance price!
