Removable Panel
Discussion
I have been doing some Googling or rather Binging for an answer but as I am rather thick I do not seem able to get one.
I bought a convertible MR2 but it is missing the front panel to the stereo and I presume I can not just buy a second hand replacement as the codes won't match, is there anyway of replacing the panel without ity costing a fortune. If not what do I get to replace it with as there do not seem to be many stereos with removable front panels

To be honest, you can buy a new USB/Bluetooth stereo for under £50 and they take seconds to fit:

What he says ^
The car radio theft rates are much less these days as there is less demand for them. Most cars have the stereo built in, so just get a replacement.
If you really want to use the existing one you might be able to find a front panel on ebay. The codes probably dont needs to match

Yes thanks, I was thinking that way but would be nice to have a removable panel, plus I hate throwing things away.http://www.halfords.com/technology/car-audio/car-s...

Really? If that is true there seems no point in having stereos with removable panels, but I don't know. Although I know my stereo in my Alfa if you get the code wrong three times you need to have the unit reset, don't know how expensive that is.David Beer said:

It is a Sony CDX MP70InitialDave said:
You sure it's not just under/behind a seat or something?
Sadly no, the guy who sold the car told me he had not seen it for four years.Best way would be to just use the speakers and use the phone, but I guess the speakers need power

It looks like a quality unit, so check on ebay regularly. Looks like you just missed one
