I'm not sure if I can go into detail without breaking any forum rules, what I will say is this used to be a top company to deal with when they were based at Towcester. Great owners and staff, really helpful. They also had the best product on the market.
There's a whole load of 'past tense' going on here........ Binners said:
Good afternoon Piston Heads
Very interesting and informative site this, I hope that I am not breaking any rules by asking if any one else has had dealings with the Road Angel group recently?
I have and could write a book....

A long time ago, in a galaxy....
On November 24th last year, I decided to update my Gem unit, this, I was told was just a matter of coughing up the extortionate subscription and the update would be done via hyper space or failing that by just plugging the old girl into my PC.
I attempted this several times whilst being talked through the procedure after queuing on the phone, to no avail.
I was then told to post the unit and they would update it for free and it would be returned in a matter of days.
After several calls (queuing ages each time) and emails, I gave up and asked for my unit back in its original working condition and a refund. I was fobbed off with so much bull, so many times, They then played their joker and demanded £80 for a repair that I did not need or ask for, I then explained that I was not totally happy with the service over the previous months, they offered me a £40 discount.
I paid £10 for a sim card and finally got the unit back on Monday this week. Needless to say, I will never deal with shower again....

Sorry if that is how it appears, I did start out asking if others had dealt with them recently and just replied to other members requesting more detail. If you just signed up to bad mouth them you won't last long around here
