Difficult Exit - Looking for 60° Narrow Angle CCD Camera?
Discussion
OK
We live on a fast(ish) A Road. 60mph limit. Our house is well back from the road but our drive exits through two stone pillars in a high wall. Visibility to the left is good as you approach the exit but it's limited to the right by an old church and the wall/pillar.
The problem is that around fourty yards to the right is a bend. Not shallow enough to see around but not sharp enough to slow traffic down much. We do have a mirror on the other side of the road to help see to the right as well.
We've lived there six years and have learned to make sure it's clear to the left before, after looking in the mirror, edging out slightly and make sure it's clear to the right before pulling out. Even doing it this way you sometimes get someone coming round the corner a bit quick and putting you in an awkward situation.
People who visit us have more of a problem as they're not used to it and I often guide them out. The MiL pulled out the other week and got collected by a white van in the process. A year before we moved in there was a fatal when someone pulled out of our driveway and was hit by a biker (deceased).
If you could just stick the nose of your vehicle out and see to the right it would be better than pulling half your vehicle out into the roadway IMO. I noticed Toyota used to sell the Verso with a nosecam - one camera looking sideways in each front bumper connected to the head unit. I'd like to do a similar thing to the MiL's Civic - but with just one camera in the front right bumper connected to a screen.
Simple enough - I thought - all I need is a camera like the one below and a screen or mirror with a video input. But all the ones I've seen are for reversing situations and are usually really wide angle - 170° or thereabouts. I'd have thought 60° would've been ideal for the intended use but I can't find one anywhere.
Any ideas?

No idea on your query but how about something a little different
Could you install a camera looking toward the danger somewhere high and then have a small to monitor mounted somewhere on your property / verge or whatever showing what's coming
So the above means it can be used by any one
Also, have you tried opening the window, we lived on a fast a road at this would work well for us, amazing how much noise cars make
