So this is flashing away under my bonnet and appears to have a fob in the car which may be related? No markings or numbers to identify it. Just seems to be connected to power and earth so not an immobiliser. And what are those 2 pins for???

The lights tell you battery condition.

https://www.continentalrider.com/ctek-comfort-led-...

  • Flashing Green - More than 90% charged and does not require charging.
  • Flashing Orange - More than 80% charged and should be charged to avoid harmful acid stratification.
  • Flashing Red - Less than 80% charged, sulphation may be occurring and the vehicle may be in danger of not starting.

Thanks. It’s flashed red since I bought the car and not had any issues in 4 months???

Guess the fobs I have are un-related. Perhaps another thread.....

Porsche's own badged version of the CTEK charger - Porsche Charge-O-Mat 2 has the option of a quick connector without display or the LED version you have there on your Panamera.

Being an AGM battery with smart charge the resting voltage will rarely be over 12.5v so will invariably flash amber; red is fine as long as the car still starts!

The fob in the car is likely the VTS Driver Card; see Vodafone Automotive - Vehicle Tracking System:
