Could it be just a lose connection or a knackered one? (Door speaker)

Sounds more like a head unit problem. Does the speaker sound alright?

Maybe it was a ghost?

You can't prove it isn't hehe

Slightly tinny. The left working speaker distorts a little.

It looks like it's had a aftermarket headunit in at some point - there's a DAB aerial on the screen still and the OEM stereo (civic 09 Type R) is in place. Maybe when refitting the unit etc they fitted the + and - the wrong way round?

Normally that's caused by a stuck voice coil or a broken tinsel lead. The speaker is probably knackered either way

I had something similar.

The woofer wasn't working but the tweeter was...so you need it pretty loud to hear much...plus zero base.

Mine was on three out of four of the speakers...which resulted in me cranking up the volume and destroying the speakers.
