Blast from the past! Anyone remember these? Been sat in my wardrobe for a decade or so I reckon. Anyone have any idea when they were produced? I'm guessing it won't work with modern units

Hi

I too have one of these steering wheels

They do work with modern alpine stereos
I had it in my golf with a few different fold out screens and later in my VW t5 with an ine 925r dab unit

Very very rare. The date is on the back of it. 1993 at a guess

They were £680 a pop when new

Old school alpine. When everything they did was good.
And they didn't sell £100 stereos to compete with the rubbish.

I take it you didn't buy yours new then?

I bought mine nos 10 years ago for £180

I sold mine about 6 years ago when someone made me an offer I couldn’t refuse. I’ve still never got over why they put the buttons in middle of the wheel though.
