Hello,

I'm thinking on a de catted + Chip for my Tuscan 4.0 (with TVR Power Engine Rebuild).
Does you really get a noticable power/torque incease. I know the chart on the TVR Power
side but does you really fell a diverence? Is it recommented?

Regards
Manfred

Main difference was smooth power delivery.

The chip made the flat spots less noticable, which i guess translates to a smoother torque curve.

I had already had roller bearings throttle bodies and this made the sp6 smoother still.

The difference in power / performance is certainly not night and day...these cars are so bloody quick anyway its not easy to tell!!

I have de-catted and didn't get the chip, as my garage said try it first and see, and I haven't felt the need to go back and get it chipped. I dont red line the Cerb but I haven't noticed any flat spots but I have to say I have smelt a little bit more petrol fumes while it has been de-catted but no increase in fuel consumption, but it pops and bangs on the overun something crazy and definatley a mod I would have done.
As your getting the engine overhauled you might as well get it chipped though, in for a penny and in for a pound and all that!!
