Frustration Day
Discussion
Hi
Thought I'd change the plugs and leads to cure a slight misfire, my plug socket didn't fit the hole, found the fault dodgy connection on No 3 lead, so I thought I'd leave the plugs for another day but the leads don't fit in the hole either. Veryconfused.com The original leads are 20mm in diameter at the widest point, but the new ones are 22mm.
Having got this far I thought I'd take the cam cover over to check valve clearances, cams etc and the mild steel caphead under the scuttle panel is rounded off.
I have decided to find some beer and retire for the night.........
Any help.

Just been through the same process and am returning a set of so called standard leads to a very well known supplier who was helpful and willing to take them back. The ones that wouldn't fit were 24.5mm where it pushes into the cam cover, the originals (and the ones I now have) are 22.5mm - makes all the difference.
