Hi all , Needs some advice , owned a MK1 Tuscan 03 plate with low miles but no engine rebuild for a couple of months. Took the car out today, dry, wet, dry, biblical rain in the north, all temps, pressures and levels ok , but at one point in the drive a diagnostic error code L appeared on the display. i overode this and it did not appear again.
Does any one know where i can get a list of codes from, and also i have heard/been told that some software is available which together with a correct diagnostic lead that enables a lap top to be connected and diagnostic info downloaded, again any info out there ?

cheers

^^Useful site. Also check out Graham Varley's site too (Google Varley hydraulics). Lots of info - mainly for the Sagaris, but engine/driveline stuff is all relavent.
Graham also has a link for the ecu diagnostic software and what you need to connect to a laptop.

Error code L is the speed sensor on the diff, I get it if I am sat in traffic. It might just need a clean up and adjustment. Nothing to worry about. smile

As Steve said:
Code L is no speed input. I've had this code in heavy rain - fleetingly, and then cancelled/cleared.

They normally last longer than a couple of months?
