Hi

I am looking for an SP6 that has seen better days, it will be stripped, rebuilt and then tested in my Tuscan. I could use mine but ....

i) it hasn't broke yet
ii) I don't really want to strip a good engine and miss any driving time....

I kick myself as there was one on fleabay before I bought the Tuscan frown

I am looking for one to experiment with a good block, head and crank.

Anyone know of one?

I have a 3.6 that could be just up your street. BUT it's still in situ, as I'm awaiting the build date for my v8 Tamora.

I have a cilinder head & camshafts and some other bits as i just upgraded to the new FFF gen2. Does need some reconditioning. Had a rebuild at TVR power almost 4 years ago.

There are two on ebay today and seller says that they have six to sell. Bell Hill garage I think they are. Priced about £1500 , said to be good working condition when removed from cars....

Happy hunting
Geoff.

Asides from the bizarrely priced 8 on ebay, what would people think that S6 engines are priced at?

3.6 Rough
3.6 Good
4.0 Rough
4.0 Good

Just a thought as a side conversion is happening, and we're both wondering the same thing! smile

3.6 Rough No Idea
3.6 Good £2,000
4.0 Rough No Idea
4.0 Good £2,000-£2,500 max

Im thinking if my engine went POP thats what I would pay, as I would also have £600 to remove and fit it. so £3100 on an engine that probably hasn't had a rebuild and there is an element of risk hell it might only last 1,000miles or it might last 30,000miles the buyer has all the risk. A standard rebuild is about £6k comes with a warranty and you KNOW it will work and work well, so very little risk involved. A car with a rebuild is also more valuable and a better chance of selling at good money.

If the engines have a rebuild then add another £1500 to the price, just my opinion.

There's always this one if you have the donor parts required (which you have?)

The block and head are the same as a 4.0 though - it was only the stroke that changed.

Doh - edited to say that I see you need the crank as well. I'll get my coat...
