Hello!
I'd like to clean and upgrade my engine bay, so I'm thinking about one of these Raceproved nylon cam covers (only the cover).
All in all it's cheaper than having a powder coating, carbon sparkplug cover and a camcover gasket.

Does anybody have experience with this cover?
There was a thread I can remeber, but the search function does not work...

None on mine either.
I've not had it on too long but my car lives outside and it belted it down the other week and I wondered how the seal on the spark plug cover would hold up, no problem at all was the answer.
There are a few advantages in my veiw, possibly quieter, easier to get to spark plugs and boy does it look better.

Hello!
My mechanic said, that there is a problem to attach this cover with the correct pressure to the camcover gasket.

Is yours leaking on the top?

I like those covers very much, but he advised me against buying it - according to the high price and this problem, but a carbon sparkplug cover, a cam cover gasket and a cover respray is around the same price - so I would normally choose this lighter version!

Is the camcover gasket and the sparkcover gasket incl. in the price (320.-GBP) or do I have to add those?

The gasket is already on the cover and I have been told that when you take the cover off for a service you don't have any trouble taking these covers off due to the gasket, the standard cover can be a bugger sometimes due to the sealant..
The spark plug cover comes with the cover and as with the cover you can choose your colour combination.
Mine had a slight leak with the old standard cover now and again but with this one there has been no leaks yet. The kit comes with stepped stainless screws to bolt it all down and this is to stop over tightening of the cover.
I highly suggest you either phone or email Raceproved as they will answer any questions you have, they are a great bunch of guys. .

It also uses shoulder bolts to hold it down so the torque used on them is of little consequence .

I was thinking about powder coating mine and getting a carbon spark plug cover but might get this now............I think it looks better than the original and I like the idea of doing away with all that sealantscratchchin

Josef the cover is fine so much easier to remove than the std cover the gasket appers to be polyeurathane & seals very well also no water in plug holes. Mine is part of the pre oiler system & due to the poor top end lubrication this seemed a sensible investment compared to the cost of an engine rebuild.
