Bit of a random one. For while now the idle speed when hot seems to climb up to about 1200 rpm, sometimes 1400 if stuck in traffic and it's been idling for a while so good and hot.

What's the cause of this and is it anything to worry about?

Have you had Dom's lamda earth mod done? My Tam was very temperamental when idling and now behaves itself perfectly. Minor job, about 45 min but made a massive difference.

It idles at the usual 850 ish when cold however it never struggles to idle. I don't know if the mod has been done but TVR Power do the servicing on it so it may have been done. How can you tell? Extra wires coming from lambdas or something?

The mod that Power carry out is to take an additional earth from off the engine block which is spliced into the lambda loom close to the plug in the nearside of the engine bay. You will see a single cable coming off of one of the bolts and going towards the wiring loom.
Hope that helps

It sounds like your idle maybe set high if 850 when cold. Mine starts at about 700 and rises to 900ish when warm, going slightly higher when the fans kick in. Does it drop at all if you pull the throttle pedal back with your foot?
