Hi,

Just getting round to refitting the cats after the engine has been out and I can't remember the orientation of the cats or the clamps.

Do the heat shields on the cats face the body side? Does anyone have a picture showing the standard cats in position?

Thanks

Ian

Ian,

I think it all depends on the position of the lambdas. They should face outwards, away from the engine. That´s the other way around the shields should face, which is to the engine then, IIRC.

Regards,
Björn.

Hi,

Thanks for the reply.

That's the way that I have already fitted them.

Thanks again.

The lambdas aren't on the cats, they're on the manifold collector. wink The heat shields on the cats should face the chassis not the engine. smile

Sorry fo my sh%&t answer.

Got totally wrong here, sorry.

Shielding to the chassis is the only direction that makes sense...

Björn.

Hi,

Thanks for all of the replies, cats are now fitted with the shielding facing towards the chassis.
