........but I'm afraid its not about anything really. I am excitedly looking for an S6 as per previous posts and am still looking. Am I the only one who loves the search 'almost' as much as the buy? Every night I log on and look at the classifieds and autotrader etc. Not rushing into anything tho' and am reliant upon hubby to come and look with me so have to wait for him to be free - Grrr. He just doesn't seem to get as excited as me - is that weird for a bloke do you think?

Anyway, that's moved things along a bit! smile

I'm bored as well. So before I head down stairs for the last bottle of beer

> is that weird for a bloke do you think?

only a bit.

I've got a pal whose main passion is football and a little bit of music and has no interest in cars at all. Gets wound up at the very thought of having to get in one.

Alas no! Husband is away so not been able to go and look - no point in going all that way without him really. There are a couple of others that I'm lining up for his return tho'!

Have you actuay seen the back "seats" in the cerbie??? - Obviously you have...

Your kids must be nible little so and so's to fit in the back of one of them!

Is there a big difference between driving the V8 and S6 Cerb? Assume the gearbox is different so would make the clutch lighter to use???

A much lighter clutch. The V8 I found to be such hard work. It used to exhaust me just driving it to work! The S6 I drove was what I had hoped for - just like driving a 'normal' car unless you floor it! I wonder if the other S6 TVRs are like that to drive?

Well I have just got a T350 and finder the clutch heavier than a "normal" car tbh.

I haven't driven a RV8 though so wouldn't bd able to compare. I have read other posts where they say that the T350 did have a lighter clutch than a Griff or Chim.

If I was to get a Cerb I'd probably get the 4.5 v8 version as I see that as the Daddy of TVR's. The rear seats would be a good shelf for the bags and some water, def not kids hehe

good luck with your choice, can't believe your old man isn't as keen as you???

My twin boys love it in the back of the Cerb.

Not right. Expect a big bill in the near future. Sorry.

Compared to a "normal" car (i.e. a Golf), the clutch pedal is heavier. In fact all the controls are heavier than a "normal" car.

The telltale of a clutch on the way out is difficulty selecting gears from a standstill because the clutch starts to drag.

IMO Jason (Str8Six) wouldn't let the car out of his workshop with a dodgy clutch. The pedal action should be nice and smooth and pretty light. Perhaps it is because you are not used to the floor hinged pedal?

FWIW, the Chimaera clutch is much heavier, and has a longer travel (so more work to do).
