Help,

Finally found a second hand pc with correct port to let me connect to ECU but have found the following info when connecting:
"cannot find configuration for the ecu, ECU id - 94130101"
The car is speed six cerb with old connection onto ECU board and a chip with "S6-2F28BE"
The soft ware is Ver 1.72.

Has anyone any ideas where I go from here?

Thanks in advance guys, may just save my sanity as had car year and half and not run correct for over a year and garage that has done head gasket 3 weeks ago is not helping me or calling back.

Do a thread search on this as there was a topic posted by (I think) Pepe on how to change the file name so the software does see and read the config

Revised diagnostics, with correct files can be found through my profile web, if no joy

cheers Graham, just tried it and still have same error when trying to connect! Must be making some form of connection, as it comes back with serial number of ECU.

Dom has sent me another version to try, if that fails I guess the ecu will need to go off to MBE to get re-flashed/checked.

ahhhhhhhh

This is what I wrote in a topic some years ago:

"Tried the newer software on my car yesterday. I had a error message coming up when i started the software that told me that one file was missing. Seems to be for just the ECU version(MBE94130116)that I have in my car.

If you copy and rename the file "9410035A.RTV" to "9410116A.RTV" the software works perfect even with a Cerb S6 that has an upgraded version of the ECU. It seems as the version i have on my ECU is the same as on newer S6. I saw in a topic that the same version of the ECU is in a Tuscan S conv from 2006, so it is probably the last ECU version for the S6 that left the factory.

Since my car is a 1999, i think my ECU was upgraded when the engine was rebuilt in aug 2005."

So before doing something with the ECU, check that you have the files with the number for your ECU in the same directory on the PC as you have the diagnostic software. If not, make a copy of the same file as I used ("9410035A.RTV") and name the copy "94130101.RTV". Do not take just one of the .RTV files and rename since they differ between SP6 and AJP8.

I am having a similar problem but the ecru Id is made up of strange characters. I'm wondering if it is because it had a tar EPROM power chip upgrade in the past that the software can't talk to it

Cheers Peppe,

Worked sort off, had to rename all 5 files( looking for speed six in ECF file to identify speed six over 8) and then re-numbering the other 4 RTV files.

Weird thing was I had to drop the 3 out of the number, used 9410101 in place of 94130101 and we are away.

Thanks again. -smile
