Hello all. First small problem with the new Tamora. Hopefully some of you may have experienced this or can suggest a possible cause.
The car is losing all power on a long left hand bend. I'm assuming it is a fuelling issue.
I could be totally wrong but it seems that the fuel in the tank is being thrown to the right of the tank and for some reason there is not enough getting to the engine under acceleration.
Only had the car for a few weeks and I didn't notice it until a few days ago. I don't think it happens when the tank is full.
Took the two access panels off the top of the tank last night and had a nose around but couldn't see anything that looked out of place.
Any advice would be greatly appreciated as I'm going to be on a small circularish track tomorrow and if we're going anti-clockwise I'm not going to get very far.

Thanks, Barry.

If fuel sloshing around the tank really is the cause of the power loss, using foam baffles in the tank might sort things out. I'm really not sure whether the tanks already have baffles fitted or not, but I do recall seeing them fitted to Graham Varley's Sag on his website. Again, whether this was a mod he did himself or something that was standard, I'm not sure.

Best of luck in figuring it out though.

It's not an unheard of niggle and your probable remedy is to either baffle the tank or add a swirl pot. I know of 2 TVR owners who had this and I guess they would be the best to answer your question and 1 of them was Graham De'Anarak smile

Thanks for the replies guys. Did the track thing yesterday and kept the fuel level high - no problems. Normally wouldn't let the fuel get down below 20l anyway and I've kind of come to the conclusion it's just one of these things I can live with.
In the process of taking the engine out of my cerb, so I've got other things to occupy me at the moment.
