Knock Sensor wire?

I believe that there is no knbock sensor on the Sp6, but there is a wire for it. Just cleaning at the w/edn and it appears there is a terminal on the end, but the wire is just sitting on to of the engine and not tied to anything particular!

Is this the norm, as it doesn't seem to have ever moved about due to vibration / heat etc, so just checking all is OK.

I think it is a Cam sensor wire intended for next generation sequential injection ECU

There are 2 knock sensor wires and a cam sensor, at least there was as standard on the loomb in my car. Knock sensors are now installed and hooked into a Link Extreme. The finger follower design seems to create harmonic spikes through the head so positioning the sensors is critical. There are few locations that are ideal (no tapped direct vacant mounts) and additional bracket work is required. Should work well on the FFF head with the Omex.... aka Pascal's car.

AH, I was going to ask if any later mods such as FFF and Omex utilised these. Seems it does!
