Scooting round the web it appears to be a bosch item. Im after the OE part number not TVR's own, which i know to be E6523.

It appears to be a common coil used in V6 Omega's too, i get a good discount from Eurocarparts so dont want to pay over the odds if its the same thing...

well im going round in circles!!

It is also a saab part ( no surprise with the GM family) but, there are two types, one with the connector on the side ...

http://www.tvrpower.co.uk/store/slug/speed-6-ignit...

and one with the connector on the end!!...

http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/VAUXHALL-OMEGA-VECTRA-CALIBR...

and on this site all the part numbers are inter jumbled banghead

not sure if the connectors are the same?

Cannot remember without looking at mine, but it was an early omega 3.0 v6 not 3.2 iirc.

Just look at yours, only a 15 min job to remove anyway. Airbox off and its there, 5 mm or so allen key, done.

Yep, think thats the only option, have a look. I think, looking again, the connectors are all the same, just in different places...

Thanks for the help smile

The mounting points are also different between the two with the side or front connector, there is also one that looks the same but has an oval connector not rectangular.

I've been through all of this already and unless you can get a good discount TVR power were reasonably priced

What's the fault? I had a missfire and it was just HT leads. I did buy a coil pack and it was an omega part but didn't need it so sent it back...was about £70 + vat IIR

Misfire...running lumpy.

Just had my engine rebuild, so unlikely to be mechanical although i intend to get it checked.

stutter in light acceleration, lumpy idle.

The list of things that can cause this?! well so far...

Coil Pack
Spark Plugs (were replaced so highly unlikely)
Worn throttle bodies (distinct possibility)
HT leads
Crank sensor
Throttle Pots

That little lot can be expensive so i dont want to be just replacing, want to find the best approach but a bit lost.

I see your in the midlands, where abouts? if you fancy a trip to Lincoln i have a spare coil and a set of leads you can try on. They are used but when i replaced them it made little to no difference so i expect they are good.
