What to do when engine out?

Hi guys,

My valve guides have gone and I have the blue smoke of death. What sort of jobs do you guys recomend when the engine is out? I am hoping to get hold of a stage 2 head with shorter valves, upgraded valve springs, guides etc. My cams and finger followers are fine so can transfer them over. The clutch was done 3000 miles ago as was the slave cylinder.

I am thinking of Dulfords upgraded oil pump but what other upgrades are there that will help reliability that can only be done with the engine out?
