How much have you paid for a speed six rebuild ?

Sorry can't tell you that but I too would like to know, I have had 3 rebuilds up to now and have not paid for one of them yet, the day will come when I do though.

Just got mine rebuilt, went from 3.6 to 4.0 ltr Red Rose with ceramic coated manifolds.



£4950 + vat - rebuild to same engine size (3.6)
£1500 + vat - extra amount to rebuild to 4.0ltr RR
£400 + vat - ceramic coated manifolds.

I paid a lot but also had a clutch, new oil pump, new set of special cams which I have now used at full throttle and they are sooooo fast. As it was an early one needed all the head work done to. 4 CV joints and some suspension bushes.

It was all in just over £9000.

Was remove and refit engine included with that?

My rebuild was 6,7k plus 1,5k remove and refit.
Jason at Str8Six did the job. Top guy, ex TVR Engine man. Knows all the problems and all the corrective actions.

They had the car for 8 weeks although i had alot of other things carried out.

- Entire chassis overhaul treating all areas as required especially the problem area next to the cats.


- Heat shield fitted, as mine didn't have one.


- All brake discs and pads replaced to sagaris spec.
- Set of the new red racing coil overs
