Simple question this. Does anyone use fuel additive injector cleaners in their speed sixes? Any thoughts or comments welcome

Why would you want too if you engine is low mileage and you use good fuel which If you have a SP6 I am sure that's the case. injector cleaning additives I believe can cause detonation by lowering the fuel octane.

This is a very discussed topic and there is the for and against camps.

Personally I only use Octane booster which is deposited in the tank and that is not for more power as you wont get anymore if you used 110 octane fuel against 99 octane as your engine cant differentiate between the two due to the map. The reason for octane booster is when running hot it help stop detonation.

To give you some idea how confusing and misleading this area is take for example octane boosters. some claim they can increase your octane by 30. What is 30, well if you read into it 30 is the points and a 10 points is one octane. Why not say its 3 octane in the first place.

They are all misleading... and mostly don't work

Just stick to the V power or alike.

I don't see it doing any harm, but I'm not sure what good it would do unless you think you have a sticky injector - in which case I'd say take 'em out and get them all checked and reconditioned.
