From a mechanical point of view - depends entirely how you drive it. 6000 miles of trundling at 56 MPH in 5th, nicely warmed up on a motorway and the car's very unlikely to be desperately in need of a service. 6000 miles of weekend hoons playing a game of "change up lights Christmas tree" and it probably needs servicing "a bit" sooner! wink

You spotted the killer, though - warranty companies would LOVE you to run past the service interval; that's a bread and butter excuse for them to dismiss a claim - either late on mileage or late on time between services. Check the small print, they normally cover the EXACT details around that in there.

...And while I remember it... I'd probably delete your post off here, too - the warranty trolls do check these forums for excuses not to pay. Have seen that one happen before... frown

Cloak and dagger stuff indeed.

Read the smallprint and I'm allowed 1000 miles or 4 weeks over the recommended schedule.

I'm within that so all's well.

(Can you guess the original post yet?)
