So, what's a "half time bearing"? Google says "this is the standard bearing for the half time sprocket", which just leads me to the next question; what's a half time sprocket?

Think it's the one on the shaft that drives the cams.

Yes, but why "half-time"? Because it runs at half engine speed, maybe?

Bear in mind is that its this bearing which a lot of peo0ple have had problems with as there's no lubrication drilling for it so its gets staved of oil.

I believe TVR power amongst others no fit a different uprated bearing and add an oil feed to it as well.
