After having read all about the S6 engine prob's people have been having and the rebuilds that did not last much longer than the original engine's we now have a couple of TVR psecialists that are so confident about their work that they offer 3 year warranties: Does this mean the specialists have finally worked out how to make the spped 6 reliable and does this apply to all speed 6s's? I am interested in a cerbera speed 6. If the above applies to early cerb's S6's I could buy a really early car and make it into a reliable one?

thx

It's probably a good way to go. My T350 is at TVR Power for the 4.3 conversion( after 30k miles of trouble free driving ) and the 3 year warranty on the 4.3 shows great confidence from Dom and his team.

The only thing that i can see with this is that in 3 years how many miles are the engines going to cover?? 15-20k?? if that?? the majority of rebuild are around or after 30k anyway, you have to ask yourself that question too.

Dont get me wrong the work from TVR Power, Racing Green etc will no doubt be top notch and once my car comes to requiring a rebuild it will be going to one of the above but hopefully this will be a few years yet when the engines have been thoroughly tested.

The millage on the TVR Power work is unlimited within the 3 years.
That's a great incentive to put aside any ainxiety and really use the beastie isn't it?
I certainly has me planning some adventurous tours

I think Powers philosophy is, the engine is pretty much sorted but there will be a couple that still go bang!

They will just bite the bullet on a few that do.
