Improved Starter Motor
Discussion
Unable to locate my original thread on hot start issues, but having changed the motor for a much bettewr one thought it would be good to shafre with all speed six owners.
My car was suffering from a hot start issue where the motor really struggled to crank after a run. 2 starters later still the same.
Then came along a kind gentleman on the Tuscan forum whom fitted a different starter.
The original is 1.2KW as fitted to bog standard BMWs. The one now fitted is the 1.7kw as fitted to M5's. The difference is phenominal. Turns over faster and without hesitation.
Although slightly larger it fits easily. I just needed to open out the holes on the in-line fuse mounting plate, but otherwise all the same.
