Just had my Tuscan S with a TVR Power rebuild put on TDI's hub dyno. She pulled a very impressive 338.3 hp @ 7280 rpm at the hubs which is an excellent result. Aside from a de-cat, she's completely standard. How that translates into flywheel horsepower I don't know but they reckoned about 390 hp which is bang on the money. Have a look at the plot and data sheet below for more info.

Had my Sagaris on a dynro-run and allowed her only to be rev-ed to 6500 but I got the same figures as yourself at that..

My power was almost a linear line without any real dips but my Torque came on very strong around 3500rpm and dipped about the same rpm as yours, probably why she spins the wheels around 4000rpm with ease..

Very impressive figures. Nelly1 had his Tuscan S dyno'd at 322bhp on TDI's hub-dyno and I think it made 390bhp ish on Austec's rollers, so I think your 338bhp would comfortably equate to more than 400bhp at the fly.

I'm confused ! Why does a hub dyno read different to a rollers, are they both still taken off the wheels/hub which should be the same figure.

There are additional losses from the tyre - roller interface.

Yea, really pleased with the result. Does anyone know what the generally agreed correction factor is for a Tuscan transmission to calculate the flywheel horsepower?

I wonder how much more power could be unlocked after a re-map? Another 20 hp?

In my experience re-mapping does little for peak bhp, but it did give more bhp and torque throughout the rev range which nakes the car more responsive and smoother to drive.

I have always been led to believe its 40hp at the diff and 30hp through the gear box. Whether that's true or not I don't know.

Very impressive result. My tuscan 2 S made 326bhp at the back wheels on TVR Power's dyno. My car is standard factory S spec apart from sports cats (200 cell) and a TVR power remap. It was previously decatted. The sports cats produced the same peak power but gained a little torque compared to decatting.
