Cam Man I saw it before it was deleted and I applaud your posting. Whilst I appreciate the PH no N&S policy and the reasons for it, knowing what I do now, this is one outfit that I firmly believe earned a right to be N&S. I would hate anyone else to suffer similar losses that I and other decent PH members did. That outfit relieved me of 36000 pounds of my hard earned to build a supercharged S6 and my engine needed a further rebuild within 2500 miles which also required a new block. Unconveniently for me after they had folded, but even had they not folded there was no cash flow or people left there to sort it. Their ideas were good but the lack of care and attention to the engine build detail was dreadful and their so called reliable components showed signs of wear after only 2500 miles. Piston crowns were sagging, the finger follower hardened coating was wiping which marked some of the cam lobes, ruining the cams. The valve guides were bored too large for the valves, Number 5 cylinder head chamber sufferred errosion between the exhaust valve seats which caused the seats to drop out. This was due to a very poor fuel mixture, which was never set up correctly for the Supercharger. I went to STR8-SIX for the second rebuild and the difference in quality and approach was very much appealing and the overall experience was excellent and cost FAR LESS. TurboPacs in Co Durham mapped the Emerald ECU so the fueling is spot on however, because I am no longer UK based I do not get much time with my car, but the 3500 miles I have done in it since that STR8-SIX rebuild and TurboPacs mapping has been a delight and the car now goes like it always should have done. For the newbies, avoid this shower if they are starting up... want to know more? Search the history threads on the S6 Engine and look for posts by S6SFX.... from those it should become more clear.

It's a strangely selective name and shame policy - in the thread I referenced I totally trashed "the unmentionable" without censorship. Was that because I didn't name him personally and referenced the company? I'm not asking for history to be erased, just curious. You're not on dodgy legal ground because I have everything documented as I was going to commence legal proceedings until I decided to get on with my life instead. However it's all sitting there waiting....
