Remove R43 yellow relay from panel then take another yellow relay and swap over; likely relay on its way out.

How did you get on Jakire?

Thanks to Graham I have ordered a "spare" yellow relay myself - I have noticed lately that the starter motor stays on for a second after starting sometimes (sounds like the gear is still engaged) so I'm going to see if it's the relay first - if not, I might need a new starter.

Cheers

Well, changing relay didn't make a difference. It doesn't happen often, only when starting from cold, I think the starter is not disengaging properly.

Any ideas?

Andy

PS: Sorry for the hijack...

Sticky solenoid??, give it a tap, or better still, remove the starter and the solenoid and lubricate it internally.
I have not done this on a TVR, but on various other vehicles which had a similar problem.

Cheers Mark, I'll either have a crack at it myself or get RG to have a look as it's due in for some fettling shortly anyway.
