I have just bought an S6 Cerbera with a newish engine in (aparently same as tuscan, i dont know the difference as im new to TVR ownership) anywhoo the engine has done 6k miles since being installed, what grade oil should be used, my handbook says to use 0W 40, but my local TVR dealer says to use 15W 50.

So im wobble and dont know which is best, any advice would be very much appreciated as im worried the wrong oil could do some damage to the engine.

More than one train of thought. I would go with what your dealer tells you (make sure you use a good quality synthetic (thats my opinion based upon real experience with S6 cars).

I would STRONGLY recommend you chat to the people at TVR Power. IMHO 0w40 is too thin, but I stress this opinion is my own, albeit after talking to a number of more experienced people than me (not difficult!) regarding oil and S6 engines.

I used fully synthetic thinking its the best. But after my rebuild Power told me to use a semi-sythhetic 10w/40w. Something to do with fully synthetic being too thin a high temps.
