Head gasket blown away...
Discussion
Sorry to hear that, very frustrating. Is it headgasket again this time?
Headgaskets on S6's don't seem to go without being caused by other problems, could it be that there is still something else wrong that was not fixed?
If so, fix that and you could be back to a reliable engine for many years, although a standard engine can certainly be made rather stronger by Wilder & others.

Perhaps, but I hear that the pump normally works fine or fails completely, so you would have known about it?
But probably something has made it run too hot; the back cylinders always run a bit hotter than the front, and ignition timing is more advanced than most engines. So if there is a minor fault like a leak on the cooling system allowing air into the water, or low-grade fuel, it can quickly cause pinking or detonation and overheating. Or maybe with the new gasket the bolts were not tightened down enough? Mine were tightened again after the first few hundred miles (but I am using a different type of head gasket).
