Can anyone tell me if the Auxiliary Shaft bearing should be lubricated, and if so with what?

Time and weather permitting will be stripping down at the weekend to invetigate a whining noise. Almost certain it's either Aux shaft, Power Steering Pump or Alternator. Alternator least likely as only noticable when hot.

If response the same as my thread on Cerb Forum, I won't bother to check for response until April. Everyone tied up with sgging the Oxley's off at the momenthehe

Thanks for all your help so far, it's been invaluablehehe

Question not quite superfluous, but the bearing is definitely knackered. So same question applies to the new bearing when received. Don't know if it is sealed yet.

Bearing replaced without too much drama. Sealed as suspected so lube not necessary. Whining noise gone away, so now I can hear all the other noises that get you worrying. The Joy of it all..

Just need to sort out the power steering, tracking, brakes ..... TVR's - Luv 'em
