At Cadwell yesterday, there was an orange T350 racing with a 'Wilder' speed 6 engine, sounded great and went like stink and best of all, was reliable...
Umm not to be picky but surely you would not expect to hear a comment like above? Even in the context of the speed6 engine you need an engine to last more than one day before you make a surprised comment about reliability, or if you take the comment the other way that you would need more than one day to comment as to whether said engine is reliable or not? You wouldn't get a comment like that about an LS engine...Don't get me wrong there are more issues that can be found that can plague LS based engines than just needle nose bearings, but then there are more than 5000 LS7 engines made every year, and more than 50000 LS2s made every year so the sample size is somewhat bigger and you are likely to get more reports of problems.
Not wanting to knock the sp6 any just trying to add some context, that and the op only asking if anyone had heard anything... and in the wrong forum... LS7 is only used in Z06 corvettes...
