Hi all

first post, Heeeelp

trying to change the power steering belt, have removed pump assembly, altnator amd taken bolts out of bearing support , how do you remove the bearing support to get the belt off the jack shaft, do you remove the big nut and pull the pullys and spacers off the shaft or what ????.

any help would be very good

cheers

Yes you do take the big nut off, then you can remove the alternator pully and bearing support to get the power steering belt off, do not loose the woodruff keys.

I did stop the shaft turning by using a stilson wrench on the other end of the shaft that sticks out the front on the front cover, no ait con on mine, to stop the jack shaft tuning as I did not want to overload the cam chains to much when removing the large nut.

Belt was £7 each from a bearing company that also did industrial belts its a 10 rib PJ432/170 its the same as the alternator one, there £16 each from the dealers
