sp6 build quality
Discussion
The various S6 specialists seem to agree that the '04/05 S6's (fitted to any model) benefitted from a number of minor component/design developments.
Quite how much difference these made is not very clear, and may never be, and there are still some areas that could be 'optimised' further if we want to.
I suppose, to twist a famous US saying;
'Speed and reliability costs - how fast and far do you want to go?'

I did alot of searching on this issue before getting my 05 Sagaris and it does appear (from reading ALOT of posts) that the early engines (up to 2003) seem to have a number of issues.
This Six speed forum was very active around those dates with people complaining that they have had a rebuild at x miles (usually less than 10k). In resent time most of the posts have been "I`ve done 2x,000 miles on my Six Speed - do I need a rebuilt?"
TVR was confident to issue all Sagaris' with 36k (3 years) warranty so I suspect they had the engines sorted by that time (during 2004).
Thats not to say you won`t get a lemon now and again, just warm it up correctly and make sure its serviced by someone very good.
