Plug the Cerb in to the laptop and the air temp was showing 45deg (engine running and stood) but temp out side was 7deg, do I need to get a new air sensor or is it normal for this to happen due to being stood and heat from engine possiblily bumping the temp up.

Kevin,
Sure this is the ambient air temp not the heater air?

If it is the ambient, think your sensor is same as sag; front o/s and is affected by heat soak if the car been running some time.
Anyway its same as the oil temp sensor and only £10-20ish, so worth having one.

Hi Graham
It is the one at the front of the air box (Speed six) and that was what I was thinking, low cost so go and get one, I think I will do that, I still think it could be heat soak like you say but sod it, I will get another one, I will have a spare if it was ok so no problem.
Thanks.

I suggest you let everything cool down and test it again.

Yep! It will only be close to ambient when air is flowing

Sure will, T350 was showing 41C New Years Eve. It was 41C at the time. Went up to 45 - 50 C almost instantly at every set of lights.
