Confidence in the S6 as a racing engine
Discussion
It was good to meet Cliff Jobson on Sunday running his S6 powered T350 in the Tuscan challenge. Unfortunately he'd had problems all weekend but still went out and gave it his best on Sunday.
It seems he's determined to campaign the Speed 6 next season and is investing a lot of effort in developing a strong and reliable engine, so definitely worth following his progress as I'm sure any improvements he finds/makes will then become available for road engines.
I also hear there will be a few other S6 engined cars competing next year, so it's good to find there is a lot of confidence in the old girl yet!

The engine we had for Rockingham and Brands was basically assembled very quickly from standard components just to get us out this year after numerous problems. My sincere thanks to John Castle at D&M Autosport for making that happen. It seems he's determined to campaign the Speed 6 next season and is investing a lot of effort in developing a strong and reliable engine, so definitely worth following his progress as I'm sure any improvements he finds/makes will then become available for road engines.

For 08 we're exploring quite a few options for a normally aspirated SP6 engine including stroked custom forged crank, titanium rods, forged pistons and cross bolted block. I'm also keen to persue the supercharged route too, possibly for racing in 09. The majority of the supercharged engine work will be done in parallel to the 08 race program in a road going car, most likley a cerbera or Tuscan. If owners are interested I can post developments on here or the www.tvr-racing.co.uk website
